THE BUCKSHOTS

The band started in 2003 and will close shop in October 2008. The Buckshots have gained enormous attention for wild live shows. And as our number of live dates comes close to 130 - we really know how to set the woods on fire!

The first album (S/T) came out in March 2005 and immediately got a buzz in the media. In 2006 the second album TOO HOT 2 HANDLE was released and was hailed as one of the best rockabilly albums ever in leading European press. And in 2008 our third album 3 JACKS HIGH added to our successfull hat trick. In the autumn of 2008 we will summon our live act with a live CD called 20 LIVE ROUNDS recorded during 2 years of concerts. Our legacy and treat to all our loyal fans!

Take a pinch of 60's garage punk, mix with a healthy amount of Detroit punk, 70's New Wave, plenty of power pop and just a few grains of the band's homemade Happy Metal brand. Add sweet harmonies, a generous dose of homour and frantic no-holds live action. Voilá... (fanfare) THE PSYCHOTIC YOUTH!.

The band needs no introduction after 23 years of global success and musical followers. Started out in 1985 in a small northern village called Nyadal (New Valley) and then in 1987 some of the band members moved to Gothenburg and re-started the band in 1988 with the album SOME FUN. The rest is music history.

In 2005 we did a 20th anniversary concert which you can watch on our official home page www.psychoticyouth.com, where you also can download free tracks.
